Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this RV Designer gas strut. So this is a gas strut, the kind of support arm that you see holding things up like your RV doors, truck caps, or storage compartments. So its main job is to make opening and closing a whole lot smoother and safer. It's built to last with a durable black finish.
And measuring center of socket to center of socket, as you can see, the length is gonna be 14 inches. This is gonna give you about 35 pounds of lifting force, which is gonna help take some of the weight off when you lift something like a cargo door, bed platform, things like that. Instead of slamming it shut, this strut is going to control the movement. So it's going to open easily and close in a more controlled way. So you're gonna be able to use this on your RV beds, entry doors, truck caps, really any compartment that needs a little bit of lift assistance.

We replaced the gas struts on the rv king size bed that came with our 5th wheel with these because after we upgraded the mattress the original ones couldn't support the weight. These are working much better and support the weight of the bed when lifted up with no problemo. They were very easy to swap out from the original ones also.
